Artist
Tradition meets the present through the artistic renderings of Rigney. His impressive array of skills intertwine traditional techniques of European masters with contemporary materials and insight. His education includes classical training in France by a member of the Societe des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, Yannick Guegan, apprenticing with Sergio Ladron de Guevara of Mexico, and earning a BFA in theater technology and design from Emerson College.
Rigney showcases his broad ability through fine art, murals, unique decorative furniture, restorations, and commissions. He is committed to the ideals of master painters preferring to use only the highest quality materials including hand ground pigments, linens, and 24k gold leaf. Rigney's work appear in private collections throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.
